Kurmantai Abdiev was born on 1 October, 1949 in Kara Kulja village of Osh region.
1968 – 1970 served in the Soviet Army
1978 graduated from Kyrgyz State University, Law Faculty
1978-1982 Public Prosecutor’s office of the Sverdlovsky region of the Frunze city, in different positions (intern, investigator, senior investigator)
1982-1984 Prosecutor’s Office of the Kyrgyz SSR, Prosecutor of Investigation Department, Acting Investigator for particularly important cases.
